Poland Delivers: A Strong and Sustainable Start of the Season for European Cup Events
With a total of 419 race starts across three top-tier events, Poland once again confirmed its growing status as a central hub for elite racing in Europe. From Olsztyn to Kielce to Rzeszow, athletes from across the continent gathered to compete in high-level races organized with professionalism and passion.
In numbers:
- Olsztyn hosted both the Europe Triathlon Junior Cup and the Europe Triathlon Cup, welcoming 70 elite men and 58 elite women.
- Kielce, a new name on the calendar, saw the biggest turnout with 120 elite men and 59 elite women.
- The season wrapped up in Rzeszow, with 70 elite men and 42 elite women rounding off the Polish triple.
Athlete participation was strong throughout:
- 93 athletes raced in two of the three events (55 men, 38 women)
- 19 athletes completed the full Polish circuit, racing all three events (11 men, 8 women)
Beyond sporting success, this Polish series marked a significant step forward for sustainability. By hosting multiple competitions within close geographic proximity and over a condensed timeframe, athletes and teams were able to reduce travel, lower their carbon footprint, and maximize their racing opportunities—all without crossing borders. It’s a model that supports both athlete development and our commitment to a more sustainable future for the sport.
These events were part of a broader commitment by Poland to host international multisport competitions, also including the 2025 Europe Triathlon Duathlon Championships in Rumia-Pomorskie earlier this season.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Polish Triathlon Federation and to all local organizing committees for their continuous dedication and hospitality. The quality, consistency, and sustainability of racing in Poland continues to be a pillar in our development and elite racing calendar.
All eyes now turn to France, where the 2025 Europe Triathlon Para Championships in Besançon will take center stage.
This key event will not only crown European champions in Para Triathlon but also continue Europe Triathlon’s mission to provide inclusive, world-class racing opportunities across the continent.
