Europe Triathlon

The Europe Triathlon Winter Championships Cheile Gradistei is scheduled to take place on 13 and 14 March 2021.

The preparations are going according to plan and Triathlon Romania has taken every step necessary to make the race safe for all involved. They even went a step further and arranged some snow in the case of a lack of cold weather leading up to the event. 

Vlad Stoica, the President of Triathlon Romania said 

“Triathlon România is happy to be again the host of the Winter Triathlon European Championships în Cheile Gradiștei. Everything is în place including 120 tons of snow as back up. Nevertheless Cheile Gradiștei comune is  one of the few places în the world which is 100% covid19 free and together with Europe Triathlon, World Triathlon and the local authorities we will make sure that we will have a safe race for all”

 At Europe Triathlon the excitement for the first event of the season is also rising, below is a quote from the Europe Triathlon president Renato Bertrandi.  

“It is with great pleasure that we can confirm that the Winter Triathlon European Championships will be staged as planned.

We are committed to put safety always on top of our priorities and we are pleased that the Romanian NFs has given us all the reassurance that the race has adopted all the necessary countermeasures to give the possibility to our Athletes  a fair and safety race.

I will be pleased to be part of the event and to crown, after a difficult 2020 our European Champions ! I want to thank the Romanian NF and its President, Vlad Stoica, for the energy and the commitment in keeping the Event in the calendar”

The event is for both elite and age group athletes and we are looking forward to getting as many National Federation squads as possible.

Europe Triathlon and Triathlon Romania look forward to welcoming the athletes at the first event of the 2021 season.
