Europe Triathlon

In two weeks time the 2007 BG Triathlon World Championships will take place in Germany for the first time in triathlon’s history. The Hamburg BG Triathlon World Championships from 30 August to 02 September 2007 will bring over 8.000 athletes from over 60 different nations to the Hanseatic City. In order to make Germanys second biggest city aware of this sports highlight the official WC Dome is now installed in the river Binnenalster.  The “worlds most beautiful natural swimming pool” will be shrouded daily in a spectacular light from 09.00 pm to midnight. All four sides of the WC Dome will light up to arouse WC atmosphere within the complete city centre. During daytime strolling inhabitants and visitors will also note a digital countdown highlighting the remaining time until the start of the world championships.

The WC-Dome consists of semicircular and translucent tent construction with a cupola 7.8 metres high. The dome is fastened to pontoons of 150 square metres, designed with the official logos and anchored about 70 metres off the landing docks of the Binnenalster. Main component of this unprecedented project is a spectacular 360 laser show by one of the biggest colour laser systems in the world. The total laser and light power is 59.000 watts alone. The idea and complete concept of the illuminations was developed by the artists Frank Dauer and Roman Mundhenk. Their storyboard was implemented and animated by computer scientists Dirk Grafe and Lennart Wietzke from LaserStudio (www.laserstudio.de). To project the forms and figures onto the cupola of the WC Dome two different laser sources, a sophisticated mirror system and a special micro controller, which was only developed for this project, are being used.

En dos semanas tendr lugar los Campeonatos del Mundo de Triatln BG 2007 en Alemania por primera vez en la historia del triatln.  Los Campeonatos del Mundo de Triatln BG Hamburgo 2007 se celebrarn del 30 de agosto al 2 de Septiembre del 2007 y traern a cerca de 8.000 atletas de 60 naciones diferentes a la ciudad de Hanseatic. Para hacer la segunda ciudad ms grande de Alemania debido a este deporte lo que pone de manifiesto que la Cpula oficial de los Campeonatos del Mundo est ahora instalada en el ro Binnenalster La piscina natural ms hermosa del mundo estar iluminada con una luz espectacular de 09.00 pm hasta la medianoche. Los cuatro lados de la Cpula de los Campeonatos del Mundo se iluminarn para despertar una atmsfera de Campeonatos del Mundo dentro del centro de la ciudad.
Durante el da los habitantes y visitantes que den un paseo tambin observarn una cuenta atrs digital quq pondr de manifiesto el tiempo restante para el inicio de los campeonatos del mundo.

La Cpula de los Campeonatos del Mundo consiste en una construccin semicircular y traslcida con una cpula de 7,8 metros de alto. La cpula est sujeta al pontn de 150 metros cuadrados, diseado con las insignias oficiales y se ancla a cerca de 70 metros de Binnenalster. El componente principal de este proyecto sin precedentes es una demostracin espectacular del lser de 360 por uno de los ms grandes sistemas de color lser en el mundo. La energa total del lser y de la luz es de solo 59.00 vatios. La idea y el concepto completo de la iluminacin fueron desarrollados por los artistas Frank Dauer y Roman Mundhenk. Su proyecto fue puesto en marcha por los informticos Dirk Grafe y Lennart Wietzke de Lser Studio (www.laserstudio.de). Para proyectar las formas y las figuras en la cpula de los campeonatos del mundo estn siendo usados dos focos de lser diferentes, un sofisticado sistema de espejos y un regulador micro especial, el cual ha sido diseado slo para este proyecto.
