At the close of a landmark weekend of racing in Istanbul (30–31 August), we marked the official handover of hosting duties from the Turkish Triathlon Federation and the local organizing committee to the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI) and the City of Tarragona, host of the 2026 Europe Triathlon Championships.

We extend its sincere gratitude to the Turkish Triathlon Federation, the City of Istanbul and all volunteers and partners for delivering an unforgettable Championships that united our community at the meeting point of two continents.

Following unanimous approval by the Europe Triathlon Executive Committee, Tarragona, Spain will stage the 2026 Championships, with the Port of Tarragona set to be the epicentre of competition. The event is targeted for June 2026 and will feature Elite, Age-Group (Sprint & Standard) and Para Triathlon races—underscoring our commitment to inclusive, top-level sport.

Over the coming months, we will work closely with FETRI and Tarragona’s stakeholders to finalize the race weekend, course maps, and detailed schedules for Elite, Age-Group and Para categories. Further information will be published on our channels in due course.
