Triathlon Ireland is excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced and ambitious professional to join their High Performance Team as National Head Coach. This pivotal role will play a key part in shaping Team Ireland’s performance strategy and fostering the culture and values that will lead into the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and Paralympics.
About the Role
The National Head Coach will work closely with Triathlon Ireland’s Performance Director and High Performance (HP) Team. This is a hands-on coaching role, providing leadership and management at the National Triathlon Centre (NTC) at UL, Limerick, and leading the National Senior Squad.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading domestic and international training camps.
- Managing participation at multiple international competitions.
- Implementing clear High Performance structures that enable athletes to thrive.
- Supporting and developing athletes and coaches to deliver international success.
- Building a cohesive Team Ireland culture, with a particular focus on developing the Mixed Team Relay (MTR).
- Supporting athletes competing at the ETC, WTC, WTCS, and international MTR events.
