CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Europe Triathlon is the European Federation for the sport of triathlon in Europe and is officially recognised as such by World Triathlon. It is made up of a voluntary board elected at the AGM every four years plus  a number of committees, commissions and working groups.

We represent 46 National Federations in Europe. We have a fantastic Sport and Europe has some of the best National Federations(NFs) and the best athletes in the World. Working together with our NFs and World Triathlon, we believe we can build and grow the sport of triathlon in Europe.

The current strategic ambition of Europe Triathlon is as follows:

• Modernise, professionalise and suitably resource Europe Triathlon to drive and grow the sport to be relevant in a diverse and inclusive Europe
• Understand the business of Triathlon and strengthen our National Federations to become vibrant, well-utilised facilities catering for all ages to secure the future of our game
• Position and market triathlon as a healthy choice for all gender and all age groups which seamlessly fits into a modern lifestyle

We are now in the really exciting position to recruit our first CEO to run the organisation on a day-to-day basis. This is a huge opportunity for the right candidate to lead the sport from a board and staff led operations to a professional based, staff led one with the Board acting as the check and challenge and strategic body. As the first appointed CEO you will be able to build a team and be a massive part in the development of the sport at European level.

THE POSITION

As Chief Executive Officer, you will lead the organisation and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of Europe Triathlon. You will be accountable to the Board, as you drive the organisation forward by implementing the current Strategic Plan.

As CEO, you will be expected to understand member’s needs, while having the ability to manage a complex portfolio of organisational responsibilities, including commercial and strategic priorities, operational effectiveness, stakeholder management, communications, and financial/governance controls. 

To be considered for this role you will need to be a strong leader, with excellent stakeholder management capabilities and with commercial and marketing acumen.
