The 2013 World Triathlon Season may be over, but it’s not out of mind. Now is the time to make sure you are a part of the excitement, the rush, the thrill that is WTS racing. Registration is rolling out for the coming year, with Auckland up first. Check out what the Kiwis offer up by registering now.

Experience the excitement and vibe of the ITU World Triathlon series in stunning Auckland City, while racing alongside the world’s best. Get your triathlon season started with a bang by challenging yourself on one hilly course that has become a favourite for the elites.

“I’ve always raced well in New Zealand in general. I love the hills and the course is great. The atmosphere is great, too,” said Australia’s Felicity Abram.

Come one, come all
There’s something for everyone in Auckland, with a Standard, Sprint, Super Sprint, Team Relay Tri and Swim Run on offer. Go big with the Olympic distance race, or hone your speed skills on the super sprint. You can also join in the fun with a friend on the Team Tri or give your bike a rest with the Swim Run.

Auckland is the perfect race destination for those with a family, as the rocking atmosphere keeps your cheer squad entertained with its stunning views and festival activities. If you’ve got little one, drag them along for the fun with the kid’s races. Come to race, stay to relax.

Make it a vacay
Make a holiday of your race and combine the best of triathlon with the perfect holiday destination. Auckland has it all, with stunning natural landscape, beautiful beaches, outstanding food and wine, great shopping, exciting nightlife and plenty of action and adventure. If you’ve still got lots of energy to burn after the big event, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Experience spectacular 360-degree views of the city from the Sky Tower’s observation deck, 192 metres above ground where you can both base jump and go for a tethered walk. Relax with a game of golf at Auckland’s Hauraki Gulf, home to many beautiful islands just a short ferry ride from downtown Auckland – a unique luxury that not many other cities can offer. You might be hitting the water on your big day already, but take some time to enjoy all the other water activities Auckland has to offer and see it from another perspective. From jet boat rides to luxury sail trips to fine cruise dining, take your pick how you enjoy the water.

Get a culture fix by discovering the fascinating history of the land and people of New Zealand at Auckland Museum before experiencing Auckland’s wild side of lush rainforest, native wildlife and rugged black sand surf beaches such as Piha, Karekare, Bethells and Muriwai. If fine dining and shopping is more of your style, you’re in luck. Auckland is home to countless restaurants and one of Oceania’s hottest fashion districts.
