This year’s event is extra special as we celebrate 40 years of Europe Triathlon. Expect an adrenaline-fueled weekend packed with thrilling races, electrifying moments, and a lively birthday party atmosphere that will make this edition truly unforgettable.

From elite athletes competing for glory to Age Group and Para Triathlon races, this event offers something for everyone. Plus, for our youngest aspiring triathletes, there will be a free triathlon taster session on Friday, offering a fantastic introduction to the sport.

Elite Races

The best of Europe’s triathletes are set to take the stage in Vichy, with fierce competition expected in both the men’s and women’s elite races.

• Elite Women’s Race: Saturday, September 21st at 1:40 pm
• Elite Men’s Race: Saturday, September 21st at 4:10 pm

Both races will be streamed live on the Europe Triathlon YouTube channel and on French National television.

Para Triathlon Races

This year’s Para Triathlon competition will feature some of Europe’s most inspiring athletes, including 18 Paralympic medalists. These athletes will demonstrate their incredible determination and skill on a world-class stage.

• Para Triathlon Races: Sunday, September 22nd at 9:00 am

Age Group Competitions: The Final Stop of the Nation Stars Tour

For Age Group athletes, the 2024 Europe Triathlon Championships mark the grand finale of the Nation Stars Tour. Representing their countries in Vichy, these athletes will be giving their all in both Sprint and Standard distance races.

• Sprint Age Group Races: Saturday, September 21st from 7:45 am, with five start waves throughout the morning
• Standard Age Group Races: Sunday, September 22nd starting at 12:00 pm

In a unique addition to this year’s event, Age Group athletes will get to share their race experiences with loved ones around the world via the Talk of Fame, a live interactive feature at the finish line which you can watch for free on our YouTube channel. Friends and family who couldn’t be in Vichy can join in the celebration of their achievements in real time.

40th Anniversary Celebrations

We’re marking 40 incredible years of Europe Triathlon with celebrations throughout the event! This milestone is an opportunity to honour the athletes, volunteers, and fans who have contributed to our rich history. Expect fun activities, exciting entertainment, and plenty of birthday spirit!

World Triathlon Election Run

Adding even more excitement, the World Triathlon election run will take the stage in Vichy during the Championships. The eight candidates will present their visions for the future of the sport on Friday, September 20th, live on the Europe Triathlon YouTube channel.
