Event Update regarding the Winter Triathlon, Quarteira, and Roth

By Amé Venter | 24 Feb, 2021

The situation in Europe regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic is not improving at the speed we have expected. Due to these circumstances, there have been some changes in the racing calendar.

Europe Triathlon is sad to announce the postponement of the 2021 Europe Triathlon Winter Championships Cheile Gradistei. Renato Bertrandi, the European Triathlon president said; “With the big support of the Romanian Triathlon Federation, we have been trying to keep our European Winter Triathlon Championship due to take place in Cheile Gradistei on the second weekend of March in our calendar.

Unfortunately the overall situation in Europe is not improving at the expected speed and many NFs have limitations to travel.

We need to give to all NFs the possibility to fight for the European title and this was not going to happen on March the 13th.

Having this in mind, we have arrived at the common decision to cancel the event at that date and to start working on the possibility to stage at the end of 2021 the Championships in Romania.”

Below is a list with the updates of the changes to other events in the 2021 season.

2021 Europe Triathlon Cup Quarteira – postponed

2021 Europe Triathlon Junior Cup Quarteira – postponed

2021 Europe Triathlon Challenge Long Distance Championships Roth – postponed to 5 September 2021
