ETU hold Executive Board meeting in Frankfurt

By David Peddie | 03 May, 2013

The European Triathlon Union Executive Board held a meeting in Frankfurt on April 27th and 28th.

This meeting was of particular relevance because it is the last before the Board meets again in Alanya, just prior to the ETU Annual General Assembly on 13th June.

The Board members were guests of the German Federation (DTU), who are thanked most warmly for their hospitality in the beautiful National Sport Centre in Frankfurt.

There were many items on the Agenda and a lot of time was dedicated to the ETU events programme, exciting new athlete opportunities, the financial situation, development, governance issues and on future objectives and tasks.

The Board concluded that there are many challenges ahead, but the common view was that enormous progress has been made in the past year since the Eilat Congress.

The Board was also of the view that there will be a better chance to succeed if all parties, stakeholders and ETU representatives are able to work in close contact with all National Federations to understand their needs.

President Renato Bertrandi now invites delegates from all of the Member National Federations to o take part in the ETU Annual General Assembly in Alanya and comments 'it will be another great opportunity to get to know each other better and to plan together for our future'.
