Europe Triathlon

Last year’s ETU athletes & coaches development camp in Alicante, Spain was a massive success. You will be pleased to hear that it will be held once again in 2017. All Federations have been sent advance notice of the camp but here, for those who have missed it, is the announcement.

But hurry – there’s not much time before the deadline.

Željko’s invitation says,

“Dear friends,

I’m very pleased we can announce our 1st ETU athletes & coaches development camp for 2017 in Alicante, Spain. Please send me back your applications not later than March 15th till 12 AM because on that day we have ETU Development Committee in the evening during which we will discuss and select athletes & coaches.”

A squad of 30 athletes & coaches from emerging and developing ETU national federations will be selected to participate in the camp under the guidance of an outstanding staff made up of top level international triathlon coaches.

Briefly the details are as follows:

DATES:    17 April  - 23 April 2017

VENUE:   Villa Universitaria Alicante, Spain (closest international airport: Alicante)

COSTS:   Athletes & coaches accompanying athletes will be responsible for their own travel costs.  All other costs including accommodation, meals and ground transport will be covered by ETU.

SELECTION OF ATHLETES:
National Federations must take note of the following:
o   Athletes must be born in 1997 till 2002.
o   Athletes must be selected based on Continental Championship, Regional championship or National Championship results.
o   If a NF nominates more than one athlete then they need to be submitted in priority order.
o   Once the names have been submitted on the required application form a selection committee will then select the final 20 candidates invited to attend the camp in Alicante.
o   Closing date for application is: 15th March 2017.

NOMINATION OF MENTOR COACHES:
   National Federations are invited to nominate a coach to attend and participate in the camp in a mentoring role.
o   Nominated coaches should be actively working with national federation athletes.
o   Nominated coaches must be prepared to form part of the coaching staff for the camp.
o   ETU will cover all costs of accommodation, meals and ground transport of all of the coaches selected to participate.
o   Closing date for application is: 15th March 2017.

ETU once again looks forward to hosting this special event and making it a wonderful learning experience for all the coaches and athletes involved.

Европейский союз триатлона (ETU) рад сообщить, что первый международный развивающий сбор для спортсменов и тренеров в 2017 году будет проведен в г. Аликанте (Испания). 30 спортсменов и тренеров, представляющих  новые и развивающиеся европейские национальные федерации, будут отобраны для участия в сборе под руководством тренеров по триатлону международного класса.

Краткая информация, касающаяся проведения и участия в сборе:

СРОКИ ПРОВЕДЕНИЯ:   
  С 17 по 23 апреля 2017

МЕСТО ПРОВЕДЕНИЯ:  
Университет Аликанте, Испания (Ближайший международный аэропорт: Аликанте)

УСЛОВИЯ ФИНАНСИРОВАНИЯ:
Спортсмены и тренеры, сопровождающие спортсменов, оплачивают самостоятельно свои дорожные расходы.
   Все другие расходы, включая проживание, питание и трансферы, оплачивает Европейский союз триатлона.

ОТБОР СПОРТСМЕНОВ:
Национальным федерациям необходимо принять во внимание следующее:
o   Отбор будет проводиться среди спортсменов 1997 - 2002 года рождения.
o  Результаты выступления спортсменов на первенстве Европы, региональных чемпионатах или национальных чемпионатах должны являться критериями отбора.o   В случае, если национальная федерация подает заявку на более чем одного спортсмена, тогда заявки должны быть представлены в порядке приоритета.
o   После получения всех заявок, специальная комиссия ETU  отберет 20 спортсменов и пригласит их участвовать в сборе в Аликанте.
o   Срок подачи заявок: до 15 марта 2017.

ПОДАЧА ЗАЯВОК НА УЧАСТИЕ ТРЕНЕРОВ:
   Национальные федерации приглашаются подать заявки на участие в сборе тренеров в качестве тренеров-наставников.
o   Заявленные тренеры должны активно сотрудничать с национальной федерацией.
o   Заявленные тренеры должны быть готовы стать частью тренерского состава при проведении сбора.
o   ETU компенсирует все расходы, связанные с проживанием, питанием и трансферами тренеров, отобранных для участия в сборе.
o   Срок подачи заявок: до 15 марта 2017.


Европейский союз триатлона очередной раз с нетерпением ожидает проведения этого специального сбора,  который обогатит знания и опыт тренеров и спортсменов, принявших в нем участие.
