By Paul Groves | 26 Mar, 2018

2018 is already well-established. We have had a European Winter Triathlon Championships in Sicily, two European Cups and a Junior European Cup.

The season ahead will be a full one and we know that Elite, U23, Junior, Para and Age Group athletes are even now looking ahead to 2019 and beyond to plan their races and travel.

So, with the present reminding us just how exciting the sport is we need to look to the future and it is now time to invite bids for the 2019 Championship events and also for the 2020 events. All documents can be downloaded by clicking the hyperlinks.

From HQ comes the following message:

ETU is opening the bid process for the following 2019 European Championships:

As well ETU is opening the bid process for the following 2020 European Championships:

Each event is bringing together the most talented elite, juniors and para-triathletes and as well a big amount of Age Group athletes from all over Europe.

A European Championships event is an ideal way for a city/town or region to promote a healthy lifestyle to its citizens, while also enjoying widespread international attention.

ETU will accept bids for these European Championships as per today. National Federations, Local Organisers and cities interested in hosting a race must submit their bid to ETU by Tuesday 31 July, with successful cities will be notified, following the ETU Executive Board meeting, at the Annual General Assembly in Glasgow on Wednesday 8 August 2018.
