Triathlon Ireland seeking National Development Coach

Spurred on by recent successes internationally, Triathlon Ireland is currently recruiting for a National Development Coach to lead the identification, development and performance of athletes in the TI Junior High Performance Squad. This is a unique career opportunity for an internationally experienced triathlon coach to have an impact on the development of the sport in Ireland.

About the Role
Reporting directly to TI High Performance Director Chris Jones, the successful applicant will lead the National Junior Development Program with the key purpose of increasing the performance of TI’s talented junior athletes on the European and ITU stage. The National Development Coach will also manage the regional coaching network of TI Regional Squad and Academy coaches.

A competitive remuneration package in the region of €35-50K will be offered, commensurate with the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful applicant. The successful applicant will be required to complete all necessary conditions of TI’s Safeguarding Code for Young People including satisfactory vetting by the Garda Vetting Unit in Ireland and Access NI in Northern Ireland.

REVISED Recruitment Timeline
Recruitment for this position will involve a merit-based, transparent and open process. A three person selection panel will assess all applications and conduct interviews of the short-listed candidates.

5pm 20 December 2012: Applications Close

21 December 2012: Short-listing of Applicants

Early January 2013: Notification to short-listed applicants for interview.

Mid-Late January 2013: Interviews Held

Early February 2013: Successful Applicant Announced.

A start date will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
