Another amazing appointment with European Junior Cup Silver Lake is coming!

By laura@europe.triathlon.org | 25 Aug, 2021

2021 Europe Triathlon Junior Cup Silver Lake welcomes all its participants to this incredible event, organised to give the possibility to our European younger athletes to grow and possibly dream big in the future, thanks to the great efforts of  the Serbian Triathlon that, notwithstanding the pandemic moment, believes in a brighter future, and has made possible the implementation of the Europe Triathlon Junior Cup with a Super Sprint and Relay competition in Siver Lake.
Silver Lake is a natural resort sitúated close to the beautiful city of Veliko Gradiste.
The former tributary of the Danube River was turned into a lake and it was created an oasis for lovers of nature and a different lifestyle. The cycling and running course  takes place along the river and the lake with a gorgeous view. The courses are completely flat, so we are looking forward to seeing great performances from our juniors. But most of all we are looking forward to spending a beautiful weekend full of great action!

The event is organised by Serbian Triathlon in association with Belgrade Triathlon Union and Veliko Gradiste Municipality.

In the Junior Men starting at 8 am the Spanish Juan González Garcia bronze medalist at the Sprint Mixed Relay at Kitzbühel, together with Junior Aquathlon European Champion at Walchsee and Mixed Team Companion Esteban Basanta Fouz, Igor Bellido gold at Wels and bronze medalist at European Aquathlon Championships in Walchsee and Joan Reixach silver at European Aquathlon Championships in Walchsee are the ones to look for a possible podium. As well as Pavel Sorokin (RUS) winner of European Junior Cup Balikesir and Alon Cohen (ISR) 4th at European Junior Cup Račice for a couple of seconds.
In the Junior Women will the Armada strike again as in European Junior Cup Riga? Certainly will be very hard to beat such strong athletes as Maria Casals gold in Wels,European Aquathlon Champion in Walchsee, individual and Mixed Relay bronze at Kitzbühel, Natalia Castro Santos bronze in Wels and in the Mixed Relay in Kitzbühel and Helena Moragas Molina bronze at European Aquathlon Championship. Against them Livia Wespe (SUI) gold in Izvorani and silver in Wels and Daryia Firsova (RUS) that is really trying to grab a well deserved medal at the European circuit after having missed them for seconds in the previous events. We will see who will grab this blue tape and enjoy this victory!
