Technical Officials Level 1 Training Course held in Kupiskis

Prior to the ETU Junior European Cup in Kupiskis, the ETU held a Training Course for Level 1 Technical Officials.

The ETU is determined to develop all aspects of Triathlon across Europe and one region we have identified is the Baltic states.

12 officials from host nation Lithuania and neighbouring Latvia attended the course which was developed by the ITU Technical Operations team led by Thanos Nikopoulos, but with significant input from facilitators around the world.

This course was delivered by Paul Groves and the candidates are delivered a course that would prepare them for working at ETU and ITU events.

On race day, this team of new officials joined already-qualified Technical Officials from Latvia and Estonia to ensure a safe and fair event.

The Kupiskis event offered much more than just the ETU Junior Cup, with Age Group races over various distances being held across the weekend.
