With the success of the ETU Development Camp in Alicante still fresh we have news from the ETU Development Co-Ordinator, Željko Bijuk of the next opportunity for athletes and coaches to fine-tune their skills before the all-important big test of the year in Kitzbühel.

Krško, located just inside the eastern border of Slovenia and conveniently close to Zagreb airport, can be reached easily by car.

Here is the announcement for all National Federations.

Dear National Federation,

ETU are happy to be able to announce that the 2nd 2017 ETU Athlete Development Camp will be held in Krško, Slovenia. A squad of max 30 athletes & coaches from emerging and developing ETU national federations will be selected to participate in the camp under the guidance of an outstanding staff made up of top level international triathlon coaches prior to the 2017 Kitzbühel ETU Triathlon European Championships.

Please refer to the application forms for the athletes as well as the coaches who wish to attend as mentor coaches.

Briefly the details are as follows:

DATES: 05 June - 12 June 2017
VENUE: Krško, Slovenia (closest international airports: Zagreb or Ljubljana)
COSTS: Athletes & coaches accompanying athletes can use NF’s development budget to cover travel expenses.

All other costs including accommodation, meals and ground transport will be covered by ETU.

SELECTION OF ATHLETES:
National Federations must take note of the following:

Athletes must be born in 1998 till 2001.
Athletes must be selected by their NF’s to compete at European Championships in Kitzbühel.
If a NF nominates more than one athlete then they need to be submitted in priority order.
Once the names have been submitted on the required application form a selection committee will then select the final 20 candidates invited to attend the camp in Krško.
Closing date for application is: May 17th 2017.
Only athletes & coaches from National Federations in category 2 & 3 can apply and use development budget.

NOMINATION OF MENTOR COACHES:
National Federations are invited to nominate a coach to attend and participate in the camp in a mentoring role.

Nominated coaches should be actively working with national federation athletes.
Nominated coaches must be prepared to form part of the coaching staff for the camp.
ETU will cover all costs of accommodation, meals and ground transport of all of the coaches selected to participate.
Closing date for application is: May 17th 2017.
