Europe Triathlon

In December 1985 the Triathlon Team Liechtenstein - the first triathlon club in Liechtenstein (and Switzerland) was founded. Two years later it joined the European Triathlon Union (ETU) as a member. In 1989 Liechtenstein was a founding member of ITU. In 1993 two triathlon clubs formed the Liechtenstein Triathlon Federation (TriFL) which joined the Liechtenstein Olympic Sports Federation. This year the Liechtenstein triathletes will celebrate 20 years of triathlon in Liechtenstein. At the last General Assembly of the Federation, Philip and Michael Schädler were given honorary membership as being the founding fathers and main drivers of the triathlon movement in Liechtenstein.
